There are not a lot of perks that come with my job, but the annual conference is one that I look forward to each year. They usually choose a different venue each time and for us employees, it is like a paid vacation. This year the conference will be held in San Diego, and I am really excited to travel there.

San Diego has been a city that I have wanted to visit for a long time, but have never had the chance. I guess I have wanted to travel there ever since I heard that they had setup a LEGOLAND. Don’t laugh. I have played with Lego as a kid, currently play it with my kids, and I bet I will play it until the day I die. Yes, I like playing with Lego that much.

There are also a few other stops I would like to make while I am there including visiting the San Diego Zoo and going whale watching. I don’t know if I will have enough time to do everything, but it won’t hurt to try, right?

My wife has also found out that I can use a Go San Diego Card to save money on each of the places I want to visit. I am so happy that I married such a thrifty woman; she can find a deal on just about everything.

If the trip goes well, I think that our family might vacation in San Diego next year. I know Mitch would love LEGOLAND and Michelle would love the zoo. I really think the kids would have fun, so I will scope things out while I am there. Maybe we will all be able to hang out in San Diego the next time we go on our family vacation.
